Learning To Let Go

July 5, 2012

Letting go
of a part of you
that you hid behind
Something
that felt so essential to your core
disguising your insecurities
and what you perceived as flaws
The whole world is not vast enough
to hide away
and mask your shame
laid bare
This feeling of being vulnerable
everybody looking
watching
pointing
judging
embracing that feeling
and learning to say
I love me
I don’t care.

    JSCK.

  2. Your poetry is down-to-earth and about everyday problems. Your poetry is wonderful. This is the best poetry blog I have ever read. It is about things that I have issues with in my life. Thank you!

    • Wow, Liz, you have actually made my day! Thankyou so much for taking the time to appreciate my poems.

Tell me something. Your words are interesting.
